Multi-instrumentalist and composer Ryan Dakota Farris presents his musical response to the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic: a celebration of traditional and contemporary tunes from Ireland and Scotland, with a Colorado flare. Ryan plays all of the instruments on this album, recorded one at a time in his bedroom and mixed together using Logic Pro X. Ryan performs on Fiddle, Viola, Cello, 7-String Bass Viola da Gamba, Stand-Up Bass, Pennywhistle, Harmonica, Ukulele, Mandolin, Banjo, 6- and 12-String Guitar, Percussion (Bucket Drum, Wood Drum, Koa Frogs, Washboard, Crystal Glasses, Ceramic Pots, Gong, Bells), & Voice.

This album shines with two musicians who absolutely love what they do, and are terrific both at contra-focused instrumental music and songs! The sheer energy of the reels (especially Master Crowley's, which I'm obsessed with) is stunning, and the banjo picking on Lonely Road and others begs me to listen to it again and again. I'm not the biggest fan of all the styles on the album, but I can tell that the musicians' hearts are behind it, and that's good enough for me overall! Micah Walter
